HAPPY B'DAE TO ME!

i'm really grateful to haf so many gd sweet frenz ard me who rmb tis very special day to me. i tot tt it wun matter tt much to them coz it's not my 21st b'dae. it's juz another day to remind someone tt she's getting a yr older! but still, i wanna thx wanni, ashbrey, lihui, yeelian, shiying, huiying, ruiqi, kailin, irene, jianyi, a-mei, aiwei, jeya, emelynn, brandon, n oso de unexpected ones lyk jason, yonglim, wing, yeemei, betsy, wilfred.

My greatest wish fulfilled @ last!

@ last! really shld make it my most memorable day!

my greatest wish is to take a photoshot when i'm still 21 to keep my 21 yr-old 4eva. n juz 2dae my cousin called n said she saw promotion held @ city sq, n it's de last day! tis package costs RM298, which includes 20 photoshots, 4 diff costumes, of which 2 will be provided by them. juz happened so tt 2dae haf no programme, so i grabbed 3 dresses, n my heels, n when to jb w/ my mum.

once we reached there, my cousin n her bf brought us to city sq, n later drove us to taman sentosa, where de photoshot will be taken. over there, ah-sue, de make-up artist, brought us to de studio, n started to put on make up n do hair-do 4 me. then aft i changed into my own dress, ah-jie, de photographer, started de shooting. it was quite a fast 1 b4 i went to change to my other dress, n ah-sue did a diff hair-do n touch up on me. then went out to take pics, ah-jie kept asking me to pose lyk, pose lyk tt. then went in to change to spannish princess. n i lyk tis dress de best coz i'm a princess! n de background is oso very special, it's a rose garden.

my last costume was supposed to be chinese princess, but ah-jie suggested me dressed up as an angel coz i've been wearing black on my 1st 2 shots. n so i heed his advice. but de skirt was really very short! oh my goodness... thru-out i've to keep being careful not be get exposed. but i'm sure tt shot was my cutest shot! haha, coz of de hair-do n me taking pics w/ bear bear.

haha, really dunno if tis is supposed to be my 21 yr old shot or 16 yr old shot. but i'll show u guys de pics if i get de chance to. dun be too envious k?

Happy SD Get-Together!

Weiliang, now u cant say anything lyk i've nvr made any contribution to SD gang, coz i've organized a gathering!

we've decided to makan @ waraku @ central. n coz i din manage to make reservation, i went there 20 mins b4 our meeting time, hopefully able to get a seat. well, not to my surprise, everyone was late except zhenrui. n we went in to de restaurant 45mins aft de time we're supposed to meet.

de restaurant was very jap-oriented. tt's of cuz! it's a jap food restaurant! haha... but wat i mean is even de waiters had de jap look. long hair, fair skin, skinny etc etc... 1 of them even look lyk Vaness! wheneva de waiters/waitressess shouted to greet pple n orders prepared, they'll definitely add some jap words (of cuz i've not a single idea wat those words mean).

i ordered tis ghoza cheese don, n i din expect it to be so spicy n hot!!! make me keep drinking water while eating, even zhenrui, sitting opp me, could tell from my red lips tt it's really spicy!

everyone who's still schooling haf been bz w/ fyp, but somehow de engine peeps r more relaxed than de mass comm peeps coz of de prof they haf. as 4 weiliang, he's been working very hard to pursue his dreams, to become a photographer. but rite now he's oni an inexperienced asst. n he's been wearing tis black framed specs coz he said he needs to differentiate himself fr de others in order to make himself known in tis industry.

aft tt, we went to clark quay as de guys said they wanna chill out somewhere. n to my surprise, they din really noe clark quay tt well. so i shld be proud to be of some use in tis circumstance? haha, i brought them to de dessert shop i used to work in to eat desserts. so happy tt de staff there still rmb me! n oso very glad tt my frenz enjoyed themselves there.

i'm really happy to be able to meet them, but still a bit disappointed. coz thru'out no one mention anything abt my b'dae! haiz, guess i shldn't be holding too high hopes on them 4 rmbing my b'dae...

@ Siloso Beach! YEAH!!!

yupz, me n my gals r @ siloso beach!!!

well, 2dae we're having my early b'dae celebration. it was really a hazard. we've been planning tis since july, but coz suddenly 1 by 1 says haf to go back early, got sth on etc... so i tot tis gathering is almost gonna be cancelled! luckily it din, n instead of having retro theme, it's a BEACH WEAR theme!!! n when tis day finally comes, it rained heavily in de morning, n lihui was asking if we shld change venue, but i really wanna go beach! so luckily, de weather helped me to fulfil my wish by giving me a bright sunny afternoon!

oni me, ruiqi, n yeelian very onz, we wore bikinis! as 4 others, they din coz they're shy. well, to me, i tot tt u shld make full use n enjoy w/ wat u haf than having regret it later. lyk rite now, since u'r still young n haf de asset, beta take tis chance to be daring!

de gals din make me worry by having potluck prepared. we got fries, nuggets, salad, agar-agar, fishballs, n packet drinks! aft tt, we played frisbee! n tt's really fun! tis is de 1st time we've eva run ard n played w/ each other. n jianyi has been complaining tt she got so tired bcoz of me! haha, coz she chose to tag me, n i kept running ard in order to shake her off.

i oso played poker cards, n it's called "slap". de rule of de game is u'll haf to shout sth when u c 4 same cards displayed n try to grab as many of those cards n possible. n we've decided to shout "happy birthday". but as de games got more n more intense, pple kept shouting "happy ahhh". haha, tt's really funny...

we went back in de evening, n i got my pressie (2 bks tt i've wanted) n a very cute card w/ many chicks. there's their msgs in it! so sweet of them... thx gals, u've really brightened my dae! n i'm sure it's 1 of my most memorable experiences w/ u chics. let's create more of it k?

Convo Ball has finally come!

i can tell u tis took me almost whole day to get prepared! i've to iron my dress, trim n paint my nails, take a nap to recharge my energy, go to de salon @ bukit merah central to do my hair, do my own make-up, b4 i'm really 4 de nite! but i'm so satisfied tt i oni spent $10 bucks 4 tis nite! (which is 4 my hair).

my gals were really transformed! they looked so different! so attractive! de mcee was entertaining, n de food was gd. but i still feel slightly disappointing. tink it's bcoz whole time even thou there're games 4 everyone, we need not be totally involved. n there's no dance floor too! so most of de pple were only bz taking pics, having food, play/watch games sometimes, n later either go home or chill out. it's really quite lyk throwing a wedding banquet. but i will not let my wedding banquet be tis ordinary (provided if i can throw 1, hehe...)

aft tt, we went pubbing w/ brandon n his gang. i tot tis is smthng i can look forward to, but was kinda disappointing when i learnt tt we're gg to clark quay! alrite, mebbe it's bcoz i've been there so often tt i hope tt we were not gg there, mebbe i was expecting to be brought to somewhere i'm not familiar w/. n wat's more disappointing was they chose to go to forbidden city! thou i've nvr been inside there b4, i noe 4 sure it's not gonna be fun inside, n de drinks were ex too! y not choose fashion bar, clinic, or even the pump rm? these places look more interesting... i dun mind gg into MOS too! @ least i can c pple dance, or even get involved myself!

indeed, we sat inside forbidden city, chose our drinks, stare blankly ard, no entertainment except 4 de loud music tt was so disturbing tt we needed to speak loudly. n whole time i realized jianyi juz sat @ a corner, refused to order any drinks, tinking tt tis pl is demonic. i felt quite bad 4 her not enjoying tis @ all. actly none of us enjoyed tt pl.

aft tt, we walked back to our hotel @ marina mandarin, n tt took us almost half an hr. by de time we reached, our feet were hurting. n everyone of us were so tired tt we oni had time to clean ourselves up b4 everyone fell asleep. din even haf a chance to haf a chit chat or play card games. sob sob...

Promotion Dinner @ FULLERTON!

actly tis promo dinner organized by my unit was held on July 26, 2007, which was a thurs. it's supposed to be a buffet dinner to celebrate many of my colleagues' promotion (n of coz they'll be de ones forking out de $$ for tis celebration), but dunno y somehow it turned out to be a time to sabo de newbies!

yupz, n i'm among 1 of de newbies. we were asked to stand in front of de crowd, intro ourselves, then they asked us to choose a paper which has various qns written on it, n if we cant ans de qn, we'll haf to drink! thou i got it rite, they still force me to drink! anyway, de whole process was a torture coz we, de gals, were wearing heels, n yet we haf to stand 4 2 plus hrs! argh, my feet was hurting...

then 2 of my colleagues, yee mei n chanatda, were a bit dipsy. some more they were living in de east w/ no one else accompanying them. luckily their conditions were not really tt bad, so can still manage to go home.

isnt tis introduction session kinda boring? can they change tis "tradition"? n not let everyone has a chance to intro themselves too? it's not as if we knew them well too...

I've finally GRADUATED!!!

Yupz, aft 3 yrs of struggling to survive, i've finally managed to say sayonara to my alma mater. now tinking back, i really miss it. i've had my fun there afterall. i've made lotsa good frenz there. i've experienced exchange program all thx to ntu. i've tried an exotic sport, which is FENCING! wow, come to tink of it, i've had so many 1st times sacrificed there! including my 1st time giving speech to more than 1000 students on stage. i'm gonna be missing it so much...

2dae's my convocation. too bad my honey cant make it here to @ least take pic w/ me due to her internship. @ 1st got my mum n aunt to de ceremony. but my aunt suddenly got sick. so i got my cousin to go. tot of asking my bro to go, but he got class, n he told me he wun pon sch bcoz of me. but still, when we juz reached de sch, he still bothered to gimme a call n told me he's gonna be pon-ing! actly i'm very happy @ heart, coz tis shows @ least he still cares 4 his family. but i shall keep tis as a secret from him.

i tot we were early, but when we reached there, i came to realized there were so many pple, n we got so much things to do, n time is nvr enuf! i needed to get my bro an extra tix, n i oso had problem wearing my gown. it's very troublesome to wear! u've to make sure it's centralized, n need to hook my motar to 1 of my buttons, n need to add safety pin to my gown, n oso haf to stablize my hat. wow, din noe it takes ages to get all these done b4 i can come out to take pics. n luckily my mum got an extra tix 4 my bro.

b4 i came back fr de confusion, i was in de auditorium, seated, n waited to be called up n be given my cert. de whole process was very quick. de chancellor gave de cert to de phd n masters, n our dean of accountancy gave us, de accountancy grads, our certs. every person's name being called up, n we were oni given a board to put our cert! @ 1st i was very tired due to waiting, but when it came to be my turn, i was rather nervous, almost to de stage of black-out. luckily everything's over...

well, wat's waiting 4 me next? hopefully i'll be doing my mba or phd here, so tt i can oso get to enjoy wearing de phd hat tt looks lyk wat we c in harry potter series!

I've finally stepped into my next chapter of life!

i'm really so sorry 4 not updating my blog. i noe i've gotta kick tis lazy habit of mine. alrite, lyk wat u've seen on de title, yupz, finally started work! actly, to be exact, i've started on july 4, 2007. so on de 1st 2 days, we had an orientation @ the legends @ fort canning. @ 1st i tot we gonna be having some picnic there when i heard fort canning. haha. but anyway, din do much over there except kept listening to pple fr diff depts giving talks. it's really lyk drilling de kpmg culture into ur brain! besides, we've had so many breaks in b/w n each time when we haf break there's gonna be some "light" refreshments. tink kpmg's gonna be feeding us to turn fat!

we received our trolley on our 1st day there. n i'm lyk, my goodness! here we r @ fort canning, n since u wun be providing transport back, y bother to give us de trolley here! how r we gonna be carrying back home?

on thurs we had a game to play. we've to pretend tt we r de kpmg staff setting up booths to attract de "students" who r in fact our managers! to me, i din quite enjoy it. de gals were hiding behind me, while out of de 3 guys, 1 was hiding behind de board while de other 2 were giving such serious talks thru'out tt i wud be scared away if i were de student. obviously none of them has sales experience b4, or else they wun be in tis industry! haha, but tt doesn't apply to me! it's obvious tt i've more sales experience as compared to them, n tis is all thx to de various temp jobs i've done in de past! come to tink of it, i really miss being a student n working different temp jobs during each holis.

@ nite, we had dinner w/ our managers. there i noticed there's tis oni guy joining same unit as me who's so irritating tt i dun tink i can get along w/ him well, somemore he's not speaking clearly, such tt i've to ask him to repeat again n again. he's very self-centred, n he tot tt he knows everything in de dept juz bcoz he's been here during internship. u could c tt even 1 of de managers cant stand him. in tt case, y bother to ask him to return aft his internship?

last wk we had a 1 wk training. it's to impart us w/ de audit methodology. de whole session was seminar-based, n we were divided into grps. i was in an all gals team n we gave our grp a name called SG (stands for "singapore gals")! n we got tt idea from spice gals! we were very active coz we were afraid to do forfeit if we turn out to be de last! so much so tt we even managed to influenced 1 of de gals in another team to shout our our name when we compete to ans qns! haha, tt's a really funny 1! luckily we manage to come in 3rd out of 8 teams.

so ytd was then considered my official 1st day of work, n many of us were nervous to know wat will we be doing. i was asked to do stat audit w/ 1 other newbie. n de reason y i was asked to do so is bcoz de senior managed to find out tt i've done it b4. we tot tt we could go outfield early so as to complete job early. but de senior was late to reach office n brief us. then later, she went ard de office asking if there's anyone who want us to do de same thing 4 them since we're gg outfield looking for de same client. n indeed, we were given so much to do tt 2 hrs past b4 we could really step out of de office. actly it's nth really much, except to do typist job there. n as expected, we din manage to finish all de tasks given to us.

even tis irritating guy haf to come into de scene when we went outfield. when we reached there, de lady in chg of us there was saying 1 of our colleagues haf reached n doing de same thing 4 de same co as us, n it turned out to be him! i mean, if he could haf told us tt he's coming here, we wouldn't be so embarrassed in front of de lady! besides, according to jeya, apparently, de senior din send him there, but he got other task to do. really cant stand him acting smart.

as 4 de others, they finally managed to get sth to do aft our very experienced typist, pat seah, gave de seniors a lecture. she told them tt even if they let us read their audit files we'r able to learn sth out of it, n de managers laugh upon hearing tt. btw, tis pat seah is famous 4 having a loud n sharp voice tt de whole office will be able to hear it.

we had another training 2dae, n tis 1 is on biz etiquette. de instructor was very funny n lyk mr bean. but u can c he's oso a very strict person who sticks to his beliefs. anyway, tis was a successful seminar.

i'm gonna be doing de same stat audit tmr. hopefully will be able to finish it quick!

Primary School Gathering

cant imagine tt i've a fren who's a boss of a restaurant now!

yupz, he's none other than my primary school fren, sentil. ytd, we have a gathering @ his indian restaurant. i almost lost my way to his restaurant coz it's @ little india, n frankly speaking, i've nvr been there.

i almost couldn't recognize sentil, coz my impression of him was tt he's very thin. but he's totally diff when i saw him. he's so muscular! besides, apparently, he's been rather rich. other than being able to open a restaurant, he bought a chrysler car, n oso he has juz bought a stall in ang mo kio.

later, we went to watch movie together (it's hot fuzz btw). @ 1st i really dun wanna watch movie coz i was wearing spagetti strips! definitely will be frozen to death! sentil bought me cold mineral water, n i din noe until aft movie's over tt it's meant to get immune to coldness! tt's really so totful of him. jianfu caught cold instead despite having cottoned tee on!

aft de show, sentil even offered to fetch me n jianfu back home! come to tink so it, seeing ur fren become a boss, others seeking jobs, n there's even some working, it's really unavoidable to tink n realize tt we've all grown up, n we cant be as carefree as wat we've alwaz been last time.

An Unexpected Mishap Out of Excitement

thx to pat's help, i've finally gotten a part-time job to get me thru' de whole of june. i'm working as a waitress @ clark quay rite now, n it's a very sweet-looking dessert store. i started work on mon, jun 4. mebbe it's bcoz tis is my 1st time serving pple, tt's y i seemed kinda nervous n clumsy. n i dun deny tt i did make mistakes sometimes. ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! let's juz crossed my fingers n pray tt they'll not fire me! i'll definitely improve!

i realized most of de kind forgiving souls r de foreigners! thx so much! tink they might not see me as a waitress w/ excellent svc but as an entertainer! wateva... as long as they're happy!

when de shop's closing, each of us got a share of de tips! n i got $2.50! wah... it's my 1st time collecting tips! really a moment deserving to rmb!

yupz, indeed, dun tink i'll nvr 4get tis day, coz unfortunately, sth i least expected happened on my way home. i took a bus n alighted @ de stop opp delta swimming complex. i chose to walked past de hawker centre coz there's more pple over there, n tink it'll be safer. oh, btw, i was working nite shift, so by de time i reached de bus stop in my area it's ard 0020.

aft i crossed de road, i noticed there's someone following me. so of coz, i hastened my pace. when i turned into my estate, he suddenly stopped me. it's a malay boy, roughly 15-16 yrs old, very short n curly hair, roughly abt my ht n size. he asked me 4 directions on where is blk 17, then 29, then 22-23. i oredi got suspicious de moment he asked me abt blk 17. who on earth will look 4 pple @ such late @ nite! so aft i pointed de other direction where blk 22-23 were (actly there's no blk 23!), i turned n wanted to walk off. suddenly, he put his hand ard my waist! i pushed his hand off, n he asked me if i wanted to haf sex with him! i said no n wanted to walk off, then he kept walking by my side. he said there's someone following him. i dun quite believe in wat he said, but i chose to walk slightly behind him n kept looking behind juz in case he had accomplices. oso i dun want him to walk behind me to prevent him from doing anything behind my back.

juz when he saw me turning towards my blk, he stopped me again n said he wanted to haf sex w/ me. i was glaring @ him n told him i'll rpt to de police, n he replied tt he could snatch my hp away. so i told him if he knew tis is my estate n i'll scream, he threatened tt he had a knife w/ him. so he told me i wanted my body. i was very calm @ tt moment coz i dun want him to get prepared on wat i gonna do next. n i replied back, "why shld i give u my body!" we paused 4 a moment, n i put my hand inside my bag as if i was prepared to take out my hp to seek help. suddenly, i turned back n ran n shouted 4 help. tis time he din follow me n disappeared. tink he really din expect my move n got panicked.

when i got home, i told my mum n bro. i oso asked my bro to fetch me fr de bus stop. but i refused. i oredi noe he's such an immature kid who doesn't noe it's a guy's duty to protect gal's safety, n somemore i'm his sis! so my mum volunteered to do so.

de next morning i went to make a police rpt. 2 police was asking me to get my bro to fetch me, n they were astonished to learn tt i've such a bro! they even gave me a device tt'll let out a very unpleasant beeping sound.

my schedule's oredi fixed 4 tis wk tt i'll be working nite shift on wed n thurs. hopefully such thing wun repeat itself. i'm gonna tell my supervisor not to put me on nite shift, or else i'll juz haf to quit. afterall, safety is more impt than $$, somemore de pay is not tt high as to attract me to take de risk.

My Very Own Shopping Spree!

yeah! great s'pore sale finally arrives aft a yr's of waiting!

i've said earlier tt i'll be working as a waitress @ clark quay rite, n there requires waitress to be wearing white top! oh my goodness... i nvr haf a white top in my wardrobe coz i look fat w/ it, so no choice, but i've to get 1 by hook or by crook.

i went to orchard, 1st gg to wisma atria coz there's lotsa trendy clothes @ de basement. but taking into consideration tt i seldom wear white, i shall get a cheaper clothes. then meaning most of my targeted shops r bossini, hang tang, giodanno etc... i've patronized these shops, but somehow they haf sth similar to wat i want but not exactly de same. de sleeves r either slightly too short, or de clothes r very thin. i strolled to taka, n went into g200o blu. there's tis corner whereby 2 clothes selling 4 oni 39 bucks! really haf de temptation to buy, coz there's tis 1 top which is aqua colour in which i really lyk. besides, tink i can wear these clothes 4 work! but come to tink of it, i oredi haf so much clothes @ home, some hvn even worn b4! no choice, i guess i juz haf to surpress my desire... sob sob...

then went into mango coz was wondering juz how cheap its clothes wud be during de sale. n indeed, it's lowest can go down to 19 bucks oni! somemore it's de top tt i need 4 work! yeah! at last manage to find it n somemore a branded stuff!

since still haf some time, i decided to juz shop ard. i din realize tt scotts has oredi been torn down, n there's oso quite a big change in de basement of far east. wow, guess i muz really come shopping more often, or else will be detached fr de society.

Season of Gatherings!

erm... i'm really so sorry 4 being such a lazy bum... tt's y now i'm trying to make up 4 it by updating u wat haf i been bzing w/. yupz, lyk u've seen fr my title, i've been bz attending gatherings, meeting up w/ frenz, esp those coming fr U.S!

i finally gotta c miriam another time! she's been taking great care of me when i went to boston alone, so to me, she's lyk a caring mother. we had dinner @ an indonesion restaurant @ int'l pl, n she brought her mum n brother along. to my surprise, we saw 3 tables full of pple who were oso invited 4 dinner! then they oso know of icf in san diego! some went there 10 yrs ago, there's even 1 who's 1 of de founders! my goodness! it's really lyk an icf alumni dinner! haha, we apparently we'r de youngest "members". we din get to tok much w/ miriam, as she's bz attending to as many frenz as possible, but i'm really glad to be able to c her again when i din expect it to be so soon! she told me tt she happened to meet someone who knew my mum, n she was asking if my mum is a psychiatrist! haha, tink tt fren of hers muz haf mistaken de wrong person.

i arranged to meet up w/ joseph, my jc fren, 4 lunch in shenton way. he's supposed to be in U.S. doing his degree, n now de reason y he's back is bcoz he happened to be able to get an internship in s'pore. he's now working @ std chartered, n apparently he's been kinda indept over there. he's been handling many projects, n somehow his supervisors gave him much empowerment. it's raining tt day, n shenton way is, as usual, full of pple having lunch during lunchtime. so we ended up gg to food junction @ raffles city having our lunch. we could oni barely meet 4 2 hrs, n his supervisor called to remind him tt he had a meeting to attend soon aft lunch. i'm really glad to be able to catch up w/ him, n oso glad tt he's been doing well in U.S. as well as 4 his internship.

haha, another U.S. fren came over to visit us! tis time it's andi. now it's his summer break, n he's here w/ his parent. they're staying @ his aunt's pl, which is juz rite across de redhill mrt stn! wow, tt's really so near my pl! we met him @ a food court in wisma atria 4 dinner. then all others left except me, andi n weiliang. so we decided to take a stroll fr orchard to dolby gaud. we wanna stop by @ tcc @ ps to rest, but it happened tt de shop was closing soon. then weiliang suggested bringing us to try a famous dao huay, but he 4got where was it aft having brought us to walk some dist! so ended up we took a train to return home.

we met up w/ andi again, n tis time yonglim was able to meet us! but as usual, he alwaz lyk to suan me! sob sob... we brought him to c our famous esplanade! n oso de merlion, then we went to holland v. tis's my 1st time gg to holland v! n it's really lyk those on tv, w/ many eateries, cafes n bars. i'm really as new as a tourist! we sat down @ coffee club to try its mudpie. it's really very tasty w/ mouth full of ice-cream! but i lyk de banana cheesecake more!

i got pat to get me a part-time job, n we met @ clark quay. she even brought her daughter, phiona, along. thou oni 2 yrs old, she's looks lyk a 4-yr old kid! pat got me a waitress job @ a dessert shop. tt shop is very sweet looking, n i oni haf to work 3 to 4 days a wk! quite a gd lobang...

phiona was very shy @ 1st, but dunno y somehow she's willing to listen to wat i say. mebbe i'm suitable to be a childcare teacher in de future?

we met up w/ andi again, n tis time we brought him to bugis! over there, andi managed to get a pair of shorts as s'pore's really considered hot to him.

next, actly it's those guys brought me n him to try de steamboat there. ya, my 1st time again... i din noe it's really lyk whole stretch of st full of steamboat shops! we went to 1 of de cheapest shops, n i came to realised de guys really dun lyk vege. but when i got vege, they were de 1s finishing it! wat exactly is wrong w/ them? n somemore, i oso realised they're really inexperienced @ eating crabs. they used a metal thingy to crack de shells, when it could haf been easier to juz crack it using ur teeth. well, mebbe i'm de chor-lor type who can't eat gently, but it's definitely much more enjoyable to be eating it tis way.

then we went to suntec city 4 a stroll b4 gg back home. we went to skyview garden. i totally haf no idea wat's so gd over there except full of smoking couples!

in de aft, i met up w/ my senior huifang 4 lunch. she has been asking me out quite a no. of times, n i tot i shld really meet up w/ her to return her her bk. she's quite a nice person, but wat makes me reluctant to meet up w/ her is coz she's now running a biz w/ her frenz n she keeps persuading me to go 4 de sessions tt train u to tink lyk rich pple n be more biz-minded. somehow seems lyk she has nthng else to tok to me except 4 tis topic. thou i noe she meant gd, i dun quite agree w/ de way she did it coz it's lyk a salesperson trying to promote stuff to u, or even worse, it's lyk de christians here who try to persuade u to be part of them.

next, i met up w/ de gals to go kbox @ amk! it's newly opened, n de lounge was really big n posh! we juz happily k fr 2pm all de way till 8.30pm. jianyi n kailing haf been singing jap songs, n lihui started to miss home when it reached 7pm. actly it happened to be her mum n sis's b'dae! n she's been feeling quite back not able to celebrate w/ them. aft k-ing, we went to de newly opened hub, n there's really many shops n snacks inside! next time shall go there n shop!

2dae me n my mum were de oni ones waking up early. De others took tis last day as an opportunity to slp as long as they lyk.

So aft breakfast, de both of us went to red playhouse n presidential bldg to take pics. Actly tt was wat I intended to do in de morning. But as there was still some time, we’ve decided to take de mrt to 龙山寺 to view de most famous temple in Taipei. When we reached there, I was shocked to learn tt actly there were places 4 shopping over there, called龙山寺地下街 n龙山寺商场. N when we reached to temple, there were oredi many pple there praying as well as many jap tour grps. I din expect tt it’s Monday n there to be so many believers. Some were praying, others were reading de Taoist bibles @ many diff corners.

We still had some time to return to de hotel n take a rest b4 chking out. So aft we chked out, we went to 西门町 tt was de nearest pl to shop fr our hotel. Tt was really a fruitful trip. 1st we went to haf lunch in 阿宗面线. There were many pple makaning there. N de funny thing is tt there’s no table or chair n everyone can oni stand while eating. It’s noodles were hot n smooth… hmm… yummy yummy! There’s a tv in de shop, n some pple were facing de tv while eating.

I happened to find a shop tt sells a lot of manga! So much so tt some were not even found in those manga shops tt I’ve been to. Those manga were on de 2nd floor, n on de 3rd floor it’s a theme restaurant where de waiters n waitresses cosplay. On de 4th fl there were many cosplay costumes! Tis place is really lyk a heaven! It’s such a pity tt I oni found it @ tis moment when I’m abt to leave, n I couldn’t spend much time over there.

I oso bought a lipstick, fr a brand called majolica Majorca. It’s a jap brand not found in s’pore. I need a lipstick, n I’ve wanna try other brands. N aft tt, in order not to miss taiwan’s kfc so much, we went to snack there. I really miss it’s egg tarts a lot. It’s so soft n smooth tt I hope 1 day s’pore’s kfc will intro tt too.

Aft de last trip, we went back to de hotel to wait 4 de bus. N to our surprise, we expected a 20-seater bus but it happened to be de large tour bus! De seats were even much bigger n more comfortable than our previous tour bus! When we reached de airport, chk in, changed currency, it’s now time 4 us to say sayonara to Taiwan. Dunno when will be de next time we meet…

There’s even more interesting things in de plane. Ard 7 to 8 rows were practically empty! It’s really so shiok tt we were able to each person occupy 1 row n view de scenery fr de windows. I even tried Bacardi w/ coke while enjoying a movie cast by Cameron diaz n kate winslet. De spirit really tasted awful, lyk medicine. @ 1st I asked de air steward if can add orange juice to Bacardi, n he recommended to add coke or sprite instead, or else volka w/ orange juice. Seems lyk I was making a full of myself b4 him! Aft drinking, my eyes n cheeks turned red! It’s de 1st time tis happened aft I oni drank 1 glass! When we finally reached s’pore, we bought duty-free red wine n beer b4 we really stepped out of de airport to breathe in s’pore’s air! Welcome back, ting!

Early in de morning we went to 中正纪念堂 to take pics as well as to view de changing of guards. When we reached there, to our surprise, there were lotsa pple wearing yellow or white tee gathering @ de parade sq rite in front of de memorial hall. They r pple fr 法轮宫, n apparently they’ll be sitting @ de sq chanting. We went to c wat we’ve wanna c, n tt’s changing of guards. We’ve to climb up de very long stairs b4 we reached de monument. De changing of guards ceremony occurred every hr. de guards were wearing white, n their faces were very stern n expressionless.

Next, we went to 永康街 4 lunch as well as try 冰馆’s ice! It’s most famous dessert was mango series, but de others were very tasty as well. De stall was very small, but it was full of pple queuing n waiting 4 seats. Actly I tot tis street was a very quiet street n mebbe not many pple noe of de ice stall. Obviously I’m wrong coz tis street was very happening.

We went to Taipei main stn aft tt bcoz of it’s underground shops n idée departmental shop bcoz many pple haf been promoting it. De underground shops stretched 3 mrt stns long. N there’s accessories shops as well as bk stalls. There’s oso a shop selling jazz music @ de last stretch of st, but tt pl was more popular 4 having many youngsters practicing hip-hop. There were mirrors along both sides of de street 4 them to practice, n yellow tapes were made to segregate de areas 4 diff teams to practice.

B4 we left 4 士林夜市, shiying came back w/ leslie n her bf. Leslie even brought her doggie w/ her, called wuni, 1 yr old. She’s very cute w/ brown fur, n she doesn’t bark. She’s afraid of strangers, but dunno y somehow I managed to carry her. I’ve alwaz been afraid of dogs, but she’s so gentle tt I’m not scared of her @ all.

We went to士林夜市 to do our last shopping. It’s really full of pple over there. It’s so crowded tt u could hardly move freely but oni to follow de crowd. Despite tt, I still lyk it being interesting. There’r stalls set up in de middle of de streets b/w de shops @ both sides. When these stallholders learnt of police coming, they moved swiftly to de sides as if they’r legal stalls. Then they moved back to their original postion aft a while. I managed to get some dresses n a belt over there. When we were abt to leave, we saw jap tv stns doing filming of 士林夜市.

Wow, time is running fast. Cant imagine tt I’m gonna be returning tmr!

free & easy - Day 2

We’ve decided tt 五分埔商圈 shall be our 1st stop in de morning. In order to shop as long as possible, we left slightly earlier than ytd. When we reached de pl n asked ard 4 de location, de pple there told us tt de shops will not be opened until ard 12.30pm! luckily it’s oredi 12nn by de time we reached there. So not long aft we started to c more n more shops opened. There were really lotsa stuff over there. There’s shoes, bags, food, but most imptly, n tt’s wat tis pl is famous 4, there’s lotsa clothes! It’s mostly those clothes tt u gotta c de young pple wear in de streets. It’s very trendy n somehow similar to wat de jap young pple haf been wearing. I bought 2 clothes 4 myself n 1 4 my bro. hopefully he’ll change to someone whose quite particular abt dressing up.

Next, we went to 台北101, n tt’s where shiying has arranged to meet her Taiwanese fren, leslie. Apparently leslie brought her bf along. Both of them graduated fr national Taiwanese university! (wow, so smart) When we reached there, we went to haf our lunch. Minority had subway, but most of us wanna try kfc! Y do we haf to try kfc when it’s oso available in s’pore? Coz de kfc here got bbq chicken n egg tarts! De chicken was rather small, n they haf original egg tarts n latte egg tarts. Among these, I lyk original egg tarts de most. But de kfc here dun haf coleslaw.

All de shopping malls ard台北101 were very up-class. So we settled 城品书局. De environment inside is similar to kino. Jianyi, as usual, went str up to find her manga, n she bought it. I wonder how is she gonna be able to carry so many of these. De toilet there was oso very advanced with flush buttons @ de side. There’s oso buttons to lift de lid. When u sit on de toilet bowl, it’s oredi been warmed 4 ur butt! Tis is de cleanest n most satisfied toilet I’ve eva been.

When we stepped out of de book store, rite in front of us was台北101 with pink lights on it stating 母亲. It’s really very nice n totful of them to be tinking of doing sth as a celebration 4 mother’s day.

Aft we parted w/ leslie n her bf, we went to 西门町 instead of 饶河街夜市 coz de latter was quite far away. Shortly aft, we saw a very young n dashing guys performing in de streets. He has appeared on 综艺大哥大b4! He was flinging 2 ropes of fire ard while jumping n hopping. Aft we donated some $$, we managed to ask him to take a pic w/ us! Wah! I tink I’ll haf a very sweet slp 2nite. Tis time fuyi arranged to meet her fren, jiayi. She’s a s’porean over here 4 exchange. Tink all of us were able to tok to her very freely as compared to with leslie. Jiayi brought us to eat ice n try 甜不辣 n 猪肉丸. @ 1st I tot甜不辣 is a very spicy dish, but it’s oni yong tao fu w/ chee cheong fen sauce. N tt猪肉丸 had a thick transparent layer on it tt looks lyk fats.

Aft tt, we went to walk ard 4 awhile b4 we went back to our hotel. Jiayi followed us, stayed 4 a while, n left. Tmr will be our last full day event b4 we return to s’pore. Hopefully de weather is gd n many interesting things happen.

free & easy - Day 1

Yeah! We can finally slp as long as we want n be @ each stop as long as we want!

We left de hotel @ 11 plus instead of de 8am every morning, n our 1st destination is NTU! Actly it means National Taiwan University, de 1st uni in Taiwan. Some of us gals bothered to dress up in order to attract some guys! (haha, actly it’s oni an act 4 fun) But frankly speaking, most of de pple there looked nerdy w/ very few gd-looking guys. Most of de bldgs were made of brown bricks, which made de environment looks classy. We went to 1 of its canteens 4 lunch. From de outer design, it’s so run-down tt 4 de moment I tot: my goodness! Dun expect me to be able to eat some nasty food! But when we got in, de canteen was rather clean. They sold mix vege food, n de price is based on de weight of de dishes u got. There’s even soup @ 1 side 4 self-svc. When we finished our food, we’r supposed to clear our plates ourselves.

Over there, a lot of pple r riding on bicycles. There’s oso a lot of couples ard w/ de guys giving gals a ride while de gals r standing behind leaning against de guys’ back. So romantic right! On our way back to de main gate, we even saw a couple holding a wedding ceremony there! But too bad, din manage to find any cute guys…

Next, we went str to 淡水, n it’s over 20 mrt stops. De moment when we reached there, we went to pasar malam called 商店街. It’s really very crowded, esp w/ so many students ard. Over there, we tried tis beancurb w/ glass noodles called 阿给. Then we headed str to 渔人码头 via a small ferry. Tis is de pl where meteor garden was filmed! De bridge was very beautiful when there’s lights in de evening, n de wind over there was so strong tt we could hardly hold our cameras firmly. We wanna view de red river due to de sun setting along de horizon, but dunno y aft we saw de red sun, it disappeared among de fog suddenly.

Now we’r split into 2 grps: 3 will be gg shopping @ 士林, de other 6 will be gg to Miramar to take ferris wheel. Once we reached 剑潭stn, de 6 of us managed to hop onto a shuttle bus immediately. N shortly aft, we reached Miramar! We quickly headed str up to de top of de mall, buy tix, n boarded de ferris wheel. Coz my mum was afraid of hts, b4 we boarded de ferris wheel we agreed to let her sit in de middle. When we hopped in, instead, lihui was sitting in de middle w/ my mum sitting @ de side! Apparently she interpreted our intentions wrongly! Aft they switched seats, suddenly lihui said she’s afraid of hts too! Aiyo, juz how many pple r we gonna be protecting? So in de end my mum n lihui were sitting in de middle.

We wanna try kfc here, but it’s closed by de time we’r done w/ our ride. So we juz went back to士林夜市 to haf dinner. Whereas 4 de 3 gals who went shopping, they had quite a fruitful trip w/ hands full of plastic bags. Well, all of us had a fruitful trip.

In de morning aft breakfast, we left taichung to return to Taipei, n tt took us ard 3 hrs plus. When we reached there, we went to 古宫博物院 to look @ de antiques, mainly jade, copper (usually used to make bells n utensils), de lions tt Chinese lyk to put in front of their hses or carry w/ them. Things lyk 天禄, 辟邪, accessories made of 象牙 into stuff lyk a ball within another ball which is in another ball which resulted in @ least 17 layers in all n small box which contains other smaller accessories. According to de tour guide, these antiques were brought in by 蒋介石 coz he luv those so much tt he couldn’t bear to c those being destroyed by 毛泽东’s culture revolution. Somehow I dun tink I can believe tis story, coz I’ve heard another version, n tt was, 蒋介石 stole those antiques. Well, it’s hard to conclude which version is de right 1 coz these pple were no longer in tis world. Oso according to him, de antiques were enuf to last us 4 70 yrs, such tt we come back every year to view new antiques.

Aft tt, we went to a theme restaurant 4 our lunch, n tt was 五角船板. De bldgs as well as de bowls n plates were man-made, n they were very heavy. It’s quite a unique restaurant coz it was built due to de lady boss’s curiosity if many things can be built w/o a std shape. However, I dun tink de food is really tt special or gd.

Next, we went to天禄展示馆 to listen to de pple toking abt feng-shui n how ur name affects ur life by its no. of strokes. De person din really explain anything tt vividly. They all r afraid tt they might interpret wrongly.

Aft which, we headed str to 阳明山国家公园. It’s supposed to be a very beautiful pl w/ lotsa flowers n beautiful scenery. But coz now it’s turning summer there’s not much flowers to view. Tis is de most boring pl I’ve eva been. It’s juz a park, n de tour guide asked us to take a stroll ard lyk it’s a time 4 us to rest by taking in fresh air. De oni attraction I found there was a squirrel climbing up a tree n finding food. Slowly, more n more pple surrounded it, n when it realized tt, it got so alarmed tt it tried its best to climb up a tree to avoid de crowd.

Our last destination w/ de tour was to 维格烘焙专门店, where a lot of tv stns haf been recommending it. It’s famous 4 it’s pineapple tarts. So we ordered 10 of it w/ 10 green bean tarts. Actly, all its pastries were very delicious, n I’m very tempted to buy all, but I’m not de type who enjoys snacking. Still, I’ll recommend pple who go to Taipei to buy its pastries.

Now we’r considered as being indept of de tour. Yeah! Finally free! We decided to go to 华西街夜市 4 dinner. @ 1st, we strolled along de street w/ rooftops, n apparently there’s not many shops opened, n not many pple were there. When we walked to de end of de street, to our surprise, there’r so many more shops ard behind tt street. Not oni were there lotsa food stalls, but shops too. We settled our dinner for 庚面. Then we had a short stroll ard. It’s really a very happening pl.

I really wanna shop ard more, but I’ve promised jianyi to accompany her to buy manga, so both of us left early. We took a cab, asked ard 4 de location of de shop, n we reached a very dark n quiet street. It’s really lyk de scenes of thriller shows tt we alwaz c. but finally we managed to find de shop. There were 2 dogs ard, n jianyi was so afraid tt I’ve to be her bodyguard to keep blocking de dogs fr her. De lady boss was very friendly, n they treated us w/ drinks. In de end, jianyi bought ard 76 manga! My goodness! How is she gonna be carrying these ard n up de plane? De boss’s brother even helped us to carry 2 paper bags full of manga to de opposite street to hail a cab. They’r really very friendly pple. I’ll visit them again if I am coming back to Taipei.

2dae we haf to leave ½ hr early coz de bus is gonna be driving us fr kaoshiong to taichung, n tt took us ard 4 hrs b4 we finally reached 邵族. Along de way, we were stopped by a traffic police, n he gave a summon to our driver. It’s really fresh to see Taiwanese arguing over some minor issue n how de police have been abusing their authorities.

邵族is de smallest tribe, n it’s de oni tribe in which ex-president 蒋介石 bestowed de title of 王爷 to a tribe leader. De boss who attended to us was de daughter-in-law of王爷. She’s very talkative, n behaves lyk any ordinary woman. Actly de tribe has it’s own native language which is quite lyk malay. Mebbe they were once part of malay?

Next, we went str 4 lunch b4 continuing our tour. Over there, we saw other fellow ntu pple whom their tour guide oso provided them w/ similar itinerary 4 de day. It’s really lyk I said b4 tt Taiwan is gonna be a little ntu.

We went to view 日月潭 w/o being able to board a boat. Juz rite in front of it was 文武庙. Over there, it’s 4 孔子, 关羽 n 张飞. We were lyk rushing to pray to these gods, then rushing to take some pics, n again rushing to board de bus. De time is really juz too short.

Next, we again, rushed to 九族文化村, which intro abt diff tribes in Taiwan. Aft watching a show, we rushed to take rides. Apparently my gals prefer to take rides to take pics of diff tribes. But I’ve to admit tt de time is really juz too tight 4 us to finish everything. Shiying, fuyi, xueting n me belong to de daring type who can take all thrilling rides, while de others belong to de not-so-daring type. Aft finishing de rides, it’s oso almost time de staff there to close de park. N again, we’ve to rush to take nice pics.

On our way to taichung, our tour guide kept his promise by asking a 槟栏辣妹 to take pics w/ us. Then, we finally reach 逢甲夜市. Taichung is really such a nice pl, w/ so many tiny food stores as well as lotsa shops along de streets. Our tour guide recommended us to buy shoes here coz it’s cheap n of gd quality. As de time given to us w/ very little, we came back aft we chked into our hotel rms.

Tmr is finally our last day of tour. Time is running fast. Wat will be happening tmr?

2dae is really a very great day 4 outdoor activities. De sun outside was very bright. N indeed, we went to 佛光山. We’ve to climb up de slope there. 1st wat awaited us was a wishing well, n u’ve to throw coins to knock against de bell 3 times b4 making a wish. 1st time 4 family, 2nd time 4 health, 3rd time 4 wisdom. My mum threw 6 coins, but oni 2 times sounded. Apparently my gals couldn’t do it too. Is it really tt difficult? I tried it @ last, n amazingly, all bingo when I tot I’ve alwaz been a poor aimer. But dun be too sad if u miss it, coz there’s a bigger bell later, n u oni haf to us a log to knock against it, which it’s impossible 4 u to miss it.

aft having lunch, we went to get some 土产 for our frenz. Then 春秋阁 was juz across de rd. over there, we gotta c 观音大士绮龙 n 玄天上帝. @玄天上帝, there’s tis machine in which a doll inside u pick a lot 4 u aft u slotted in 10 bucks Taiwan dollars. I got quite a gd lot. Hmm… 2dae might be my lucky day!

When we reached kaoshiong, we took a boat to tour 爱河, then we went to look ard @ 新崛江夜市. I quite lyk kaoshiong, coz de rds r wide, de streets r clean, n it gives pple a very peaceful feeling. @ 新崛江夜市, it’s lyk pasar malam where there’re lotsa clothes, n they’re all so trendy n cute! I wanna buy! But I muz ctrl myself coz I’ve had lotsa clothes oredi.
Aft dinner, we went back to hotel. But it’s kinda early, n so we’ve decided to go tour ard 六合夜市. @ 1st we wanna walk there, but de bellboys said it’s kinda far away n will take us 30mins to get there, so we got into cabs, which took oni 5mins. When we reached there, it’s again another pasar malam, but de oni diff is tt there’re lotsa makan stuff. We bought some snacks lyk fried octopus, 可利饼, fried ice-cream n some drinks. All of us shared these by ordering oni 1 each, n it’s really so fun to me. We wanna stay longer in de city, but coz there’ll be extra chg 4 taxi as well as we’ve to wake up early tmr, so we’ve decided to give it a miss. But so far tis is de oni pl I felt I wanna come again.

Aft breakfast, we set off to a pl called 御宝, a place tt sells lingzhi. According to de tour guide, lingzhi r usually plucked by de 原住民, big lingzhi means it’s naturally grown, while smaller ones r those human grown, n lingzhi r grown on red wood, which is a very strong wood. When we reached de pl, an ex-doctor who’s now a consultant gave us some knowledge on how to eat healthy food in order to stay healthy. Aft tt, de原住民 ladies came promoting de lingzhi. But none of us din buy any coz it’s too ex.

Next, we went to 太鲁阁峡谷 to look @ de mountains n waterfall. Thou it’s quite beautiful, I still find de mountains n waterfalls in Yosemite nicer. De waterfall @ de former is much smaller, n it’s oni a flow instead of a gush. De oni thing I find interesting is de crossing of de tunnel.

aft tt, we had lunch @ tis restaurant where all de food served were new to me except 4 梅菜扣肉 n small tomatoes. De dishes I lyk most were fried pumpkin n bamboo rice top w/ yam. Coz we’r a grp of gals who dun really eat much, we really had quite a lot of leftovers.

Next, we were brought to 七星谭. Behind it was military ground. Over there, de sea was very very blue n clear. We picked up some nice stones as souvenirs. Those nearer to de sea were indeed much smoother n nice then those further from de sea.

We were in de bus 4 3 hrs plus b4 we reached our next hotel 4 overnight stay, called 知本温泉. There’s oso hot spring over there. Thru’out de journey de tour guide has been showing us anime. Haha, guess u’ll be tinking I’m so fortunate tt it hit my interest rite? Tt anime din really catch my interest, so i’ve been napping thru’out. When we reached 台东, we went to a restaurant away fr de hotel 4 dinner. De toilet was smelly, n de dishes there were not really tt great. It had tis pork soaked in rice wine which was a very special kinda food to promote, but de taste of alcohol was so strong tt we oni tried a sip n din touch it anymore.

We were advised to take a dip in de hot spring aft resting 4 an hr. so aft resting, we had to wear swimming costumes w/ swimming cap 4 hygiene reasons b4 enjoying our hot spring! Tis hotel is very interesting. It’s owned by 2 bosses, n so it’s operations r kinda messy. In a bldg itself there’s some rms belonging to 1 boss n others belonging to de other boss. N even 4 hot spring, restaurants n lobby, u’ll get lost b4 u get to find de rite 1 fr de rite boss whom u’ve paid to 4 ur pleasure. It’s not gd to dip 4 too long, so we’ve to get out 4 awhile aft dipping 4 3 mins, then we could oni dip 4 15 mins in total. Aft de dip, u’ll really get to feel ur skin getting smoother, n u’ll feel more energetic. Some of my other frenz who had menstruations can oso get to enjoy de hot spring in their own bathrms. But I’ve no idea how’s de feeling of enjoying hot spring in de bathrm. Mebbe I shld try tmr early in de morning?

In de morning breakfast was provided by de hotel, n xueting n fuyi said they saw their frenz enjoying breakfast in de same pl as us too, which means to say, there’r ntu pple staying in de same hotel as us! Haha, it’s really lyk wat I said, we’ve come to little ntu.

Aft tt, we set off 4 野柳, which is a nature reserve. There we gotta saw de natural creations by de sea waves hitting de rocks along de coastal areas. When we reached there, we saw many young guys, n immediately we knew they’re definitely from s’pore too fr their dressings. N true enuf, I met William, janice’s bf. Too bad tt he’ll be returning to s’pore tmr. actly these guys r here 4 ns. So they’ve been enjoying themselves even when they’re serving ns eh…

Over there, we gotta c “女王头”, “仙女鞋”, shape of Taiwan etc etc. actly these r de natural creations. We spent so much time bz taking pics ard tt we were last to gather.

Next, we arrived @ 九份, where 悲情城市 was filmed. De reason y tis pl was given tis name is bcoz in de past there were 9 families living in tt area. N each time when each of de families took turns to drive down de hills to replenish stock it had to buy 4 all other 8 families too, n tt’s how de name derived. De oni tourist attraction was a narrow path w/ many shops on both sides. Wat’s popular over there was it’s 牛肉面 n 福州鱼丸. De path led us to a pl where we could take sea view n to a temple.

Coming down de hill was really very memorable, as it was meandering thru’out. N tt reminded me of tt time when me, gracia n chang were driving among de mountains 4 7hrs juz to get to our motel. But tis wasn’t tt long, n it’s quite safe actly as compared to de latter coz de latter din haf anything @ de side of de mountains to prevent cars fr falling. Down de hills we gotta c many yellow rocks, n these were said to be affected by last time there being a gold mine. N tt gold mine oso led to de sea having 2 colours of water, light yellow along de coast, n blue further in de sea.

Next, we reached 南方澳, where de popular 妈祖庙 is. N fortunately 4 us, coz it’s gonna be 妈祖’s b’dae soon, tt’s y there’r many pple worshipping her. In de temple, there’s a statue of her made of jade on de 2nd floor n 1 made of gold on de 3rd floor.
Aft tt, we had a 3 hrs plus journey b4 we arrived @ our hotel in 花莲, which is famous 4 it’s 原住民 n 槟榔. How花莲 got it’s name derived from de原住民 tattooing their faces. I gotta realized tt our tour guide was actly very knowledgeable, as he knew a lot on history, medicine, accupoints etc etc, n he can really tok a lot! So we were in de hotel having our dinner, which was a buffet. N aft tt we went k-ing! Thou we din get a lounge coz too ex, there’s oni 1 other grp k-ing. So we could enjoy ourselves quite a lot.

Now I realized juz how kia-si my mum can be. She’s been too excited tt she couldn’t slp de whole nite until 4am struck. Then she woke me up, n kept hurrying me. I told her it’s perfectly fine to leave @ 5am, but she tot it wud be too late, so shld leave @ 4.45am. n by de time we reached de airport, It’s 5.20am. we’re de 1st to arrive! Hahaha. De gals were really lyk 小姐, very dilly-dally in everything. N alwaz kept us waiting. Well, will expect more of tis to come…

@ ard 12.25pm when we reached Taiwan, it’s been drizzling de whole day. N our tour guide changed our schedule bcoz of tt. So instead of supposedly free-n-easy on de 1st day, we went to Taipei 101. wah… but din get to c how tall de bldg is, nor even de design. All we knew was it’s currently de tallest bldg, but china is gonna be bldg a 102 soon. N de architect 4 101 din get any prize, coz de design is simply dull. It’s based on Chinese feng-shui in order not to let de bldg fall bcoz of earthquake n 4 de co. to prosper. We were oni inside de bldg, n it’s lyk any s’pore shopping mall. Besides, there’s full of Chinese over there, n it really gives de s’pore feeling. Coz it’s oredi 2pm, n everyone was hungry, so we order sth fr de foodcourt to makan.

When we got out n gathered, we then oni gotta learn fr de tour guide tt we’re gg to shihlin night mkt! my goodness! Y dun tell us earlier so tt we wun be eating anything in Taipei 101? But aniwae, we’ve decided to each order 1 stuff n we’ll share so as get to try shihlin’s delicacy. N indeed, we gotta tried 大饼包小饼 (fried biscuit been crushed n wrapped w/ soft prata), 大肠包小肠 (sausage wrapped in glutinous rice), 官财板 (a thick slice of bread, emptied within n topped w/ other ingredients), 蚝煎 (taiwanese type is sweet), 大炸鸡, 青蛙下蛋 (lyk bubble tea), juz to name a few.

Aft tt, we were led to our hotel, which was near 西门町. So having so much free time @ nite, we decided to go n roam ard there. It’s one of de busiest places there coz there’s many shops ard, but de stuff there were ex. Later, we passed by a shop called 杂志疯, it’s 5 stories high, de 1st 2 floors being full of mag fr mainly Taiwan, japan, n u.s., then de 3rd n 4th floors full of… MANGA! WAH… n de 5th storey was a gift shop w/ manga pics. So happy tt I feel recharged.

Wat lies ahead of us 4 tmr? Hmm… shall wait n c…

it's gonna be a 10-day trip to taiwan, dunno wat lies ahead 4 me. ytd we had a discussion on our taipei free-n-easy aft celebrating huiyin's b'dae. tt took us lyk 3hrs b4 everything's settled. apparently they oni chk out on where r de muz go places n i'm de oni 1 who's been so prepared to de extent of preparing an itinerary b4 de discussion. coz i noe we gonna be having a long discussion if no 1 do a headstart. n indeed, things were more efficient w/ it, we oni need to make some amendments to de itinerary to accomodate everyone's interests.

i'm really so sorry tt i've been blogging less n less, this time not bcoz of been bz on anything but bcoz my mum's now de 1 hogging onto my lappie. aft i intro to her crunchyroll, she's been so hooked up to it tt it's lyk it's either my bro or i haf to give up on our 'toy'. wat to do? who ask her to be our mum...

anyway i'll be bringing my lappie along thru'out de trip. hopefully there'll be free internet connection so tt i can blog more!!!

Last paper's finally over! Waiting to graduate...

AT LAST! my last paper was over ytd!!! CHEERS!

i'm so sorry tt i've not been posting any blog, n din even leave some msg lyk "exam in progress". haha, actly, thru'out tis past 3 wks, i've been mugging 4 exams. coz tis is my final round, dun really hope to flung it. but it's really lyk hell. my flu n cough hasn't really gotten much beta. somemore de nite b4 my last paper i suddenly got runny nose! argh... can there be anything worse? definitely. de next day during de 1st 1hr of my paper, i keep on sneezing. really can't concentrate much. n i'm so scared tt i'll be bothering de pple ard me. still, i'm so happy tt everything's over!

actly, i dunno if i shld feel happy or sad abt it. y shld i feel sad? coz i've been a student thru'out my past 15 yrs, n now de tot of being an adult juz makes me feel uneasy. u noe, u'll haf to worry lotsa stuff, things lyk footing mthly bills, money, money MONEY!!! my goodness... but i dun wanna retain! so i shld feel happy afterall? perhaps.

aft de paper, as usual, i'll alwaz take pics of my sch. i got my gers to walk all de way fr exam hall to south spine juz to take pics. but then, we wasted a lot of time taking oni a few pics coz my cam's really consuming de batts fast! it's no use even when i've brought 4 pairs of batts w/ me. but luckily shiling got cam phone.

now exams' over, de next thing tt i shld worry is abt my grad trip. i've decided to bring my lappie along coz really cant live w/o it. besides, need to safe my pics into my lappie everyday. dun really hope history repeats itself. will keep u guys updated rgd my trip. hope it'll be very fun!

What a wonderful KPMG Party!

yupz, aft hearing of other big 4 holding welcome parties, finally it's KPMG's turn to throw a party! it's held @ Brewerkz, Riverside Pt. dun ask me y it's held @ a pub. mebbe it's really lyk wat de rumours r, tt KPMG pple prefer drinking session?! haha, but aniwae, me, lihui, yeelian n jeya haf arranged to meet @ clark quay stn ctrl to go together. a wk b4 this day, i sent an email asking de hr dept wat's de dress code, n de reply was smart casual. wat exactly is tt? can they stop using such words tt r so much lyk oxymoron n so hard to interpret? to play safe, i've been asking de pple ard on their interpretations. n most pple told me it's a blouse with formal skirt or pants. but isn't it kinda funny to wear tt to a pub? still, i followed wat they said, but i was wearing black blouse w/ black skirt to make it not so formal. later in de evening, jeya sms me asking if we shld meet @ redhill stn since both of us r living so close to each other. alrite, i'm fine w/ it. then, when we met, both other eyes were so wide opened, staring @ each other's clothes! haha, apparently, we had extreme interpretations, as she was wearing a simple top w/ lace n jeans! n thru'out de journey we haf been very worried, it's either she's gonna be embarrassing herself or me out of place. then she's been calling her other frenz whom she has told them jeans r fine, pple lyk iris, cheryl, rick... waa... i nvr noe they gonna be in de same firm as me! yeah! will be able to meet them quite often i guess... both iris n rick haf decided to wear formal coz dun tink appropriate to wear jeans, n as 4 cheryl, she said she did call up de hr dept n they told her it's perfectly fine to be in jeans.

so when we reached clark quay, both of us saw quite a variety of interpretations of "smart casual" ard w/ pple waiting 4 their frenz @ de stn. other than our interpretations, there's even pple wearing party dress n dresses meant 4 clubbing. yeelian n lihui haf reached, n they were wearing de same formal wear as me. @ least i dun feel out of place. so when we reached Brewerkz, i gotta realized tt jeya is in de same dept as me! wah, mebbe we're really fated to be together. in jc, we were in de same class, same cca, n we were alwaz seen as a package in front of our frenz. n history's gonna repeat itself! haha... aniwae, i'm really very happy tt we're in de same dept, then i wun feel lonely not knowing any pple.

so thru'out, there's buffet n drinks n beer. most of de kpmg managers n partners drink beer. mebbe de rumour is true afterall. then i saw my partner, kenny, whom i really dun wanna meet. he din give me gd impression, tt's all i can say. we haf been so occupied w/ de mingling session tt we dun really feel hungry. but i really dun wanna speak too much, if possible. afterall, i've still not fully recovered. so, when it's ard 9pm, yeelian asked me if i wanna leave. me n jeya wanted to leave, but dunno y each time when we're abt to move out of de pub we keep bumping onto frenz n we've no choice but to @ least exchange a few words. n these took us some time b4 we could really make a move.

n guess wat's another surprise? we saw mediacorp artists acting in clark quay! there's oni 2 artists, de gal is 1st runner-up of project superstar (season 2), whereas de guy is de main lead in 凡间新鲜人 as 牛郎! he's such a hunk! so charming in real person! n his well-built body really makes him look good on any clothes! no wonder he's an ex-model. tink we've caused such a commotion there as de crew has been asking us to keep quiet. n u can see fr their expressions tt we're really disturbing them. so we quickly made a move.

but it's really such a memorable nite w/ all these wonderful things happening...

my virgin speech...

2dae i was invited by my pa office to brief de juniors on my pa experience. n somemore i'm de 1st to speak among de 3 of us (who ask me to be a gal, n who ask there to be such a phrase "ladies 1st"). @ 1st i tot i'll oni be facing 200 students. then when i got in, to my surprise, de whole theatre was full! there's really nthng much to learn from this pa briefing, y u guys r so free to come n listen instead of staying @ home n study 4 ur exams? my goodness! tis is my 1st time standing on stage n toking to 1000 pple! n somemore, i've been down w/ flu n cough since last wk. really not in de mood to tok man! but surprisingly, everyone has been sick. de manager of opa (office of professional attachment) is sick, desmond, one of de speakers, has been having flu since 2 days ago, n benny, another speaker, has been coughing since last mth, n he told me he even coughed blood! aiyo, is this a sickly season? y de whole world seems to be sick?

when it's my turn to speak, i really dun wanna spoil my throat, so i asked de 1st qn to lighten de atmosphere by asking, "who's going to kpmg?" juz as expected, none raised their hands. n i'm lyk a clown. then i quickly tell them wat i've to say, really brainlessly smoke thru, praying hard tt tis whole thing will end so tt i can rest. then later it's desmond's turn, n he's so gd @ attracting pple's attention thru his speech, then 4 benny, he's been really calm n noe wat he wants to say. tink i'm de oni jialat 1, who ask tis to be my 1st time...

then when everything ended, pple did come n approach benny n desmond, but not me! so paiseh... but tis is more or less expected, coz who got qn on auditing? it's been so common liao. so in order not to further paiseh myself, i excused myself by leaving 1st. haha... but really interested to noe de 2 guys beta, coz they seem very zai, might need their help in future.

Yeah! My BABY's back!

Actly it's a new baby... i mean my ipod video. juz last wk i couldn't switch it on. even lappie can't detect it when ipod's connected to it. so i went to call apple technical support on tue mar 20, 2007 to rpt my problem. then de lady chk w/ customer relations n said tt i can get my ipod replaced 4 free thou my warranty juz got expired by ard 1 mth. so i brought my baby to de nearest centre to get it replaced.

next morning, a lady fr de centre called n told me tt she can't chk fr her system tt i could get free replacement. so she gave me customer relations' email add n ask me to ask them to gimme my cs code. so when i came back home fr sch, instead of doing wat she said, i called back to de tech support coz i'm sure they'll haf a record of my problem ytd. then in tt case, y bother to send email n wait 4 a reply? tt's so inefficient. n indeed, they got de code, n they sent it to de lady's system. i gave a call back to de lady, n she told me she juz chk her system n got de code. see, isn't calling more efficient? y she din even bother to make tt call when she got my case no. i oso used tt case no. when calling tech support up.

aniwae, i got a new baby w/ another yr of warranty. shiok rite? yepz, gotta enjoy brand new ipod w/ extended warranty w/o having to pay extra! hahaha...

Yeah! I'm finally gonna go convo ball!

Waa, aft a few days of dilly-dally, my gals finally decided to go convo ball...

i've had wanted to go, since tis might be de last prom nite 4 us b4 going to work. might be de last time u enjoy ur youth, dressed up, put on make-up, take pics w/ frenz etc etc... registration started on mar 20, 07 n lasted 4 3 days. as usual, i asked my gals, then 2 said interested to go, 2 not interested to go, others said will go if majority go. hello, r u still kids? do u need pple to accompany u? i understand it'll be fun to haf frenz ard going w/ u. but it's so hard to plan if everyone says de same thing. besides, u wun noe aft u reach there when u realise u do haf pple u noe going too. so ended up ruiqi was de leader, n she asked us to go reg early so tt can enjoy 5 bucks off.

but when we reached there, de gals, as usual, started to hesitate coz there's barely anyone registering. tt's of coz, i mean, who wud wanna come so early to reg? it's oni 10am. then dunno where they heard rumours tt de response wun be tt gd, so they wanna wait till de last day of registration period to decide. so wat 4 do we haf to come so early to be early bird?

when de 3rd day came, coz de gals were in sch 4 lecture except me, i sms ruiqi to ask them de decision. i've waited but she din reply me. so i called jianyi, n she said they've decided not to go. i muz emphasize tt de whole while i've been making tis clear to them tt i'll definitely be going. juz tt they still want majority to go. later when ruiqi finally responded, she said they've not decided. so both of us went to de booth n to her surprise, de response was in fact quite gd. so, she, representing de whole clique, signed up 4 us. i called all de gals to tell them tt we've signed up 4 de ball, then some of them asked me, "tot we've decided not to go?" i really haf no idea wat's happening during de discussion. they told me ruiqi haf decided not to go when she told me in person tt they've not decided. shiling almost din wanna go coz she said she got so fad up w/ de decision keep changing. i really feel so sorry 4 her. but i mean in de 1st pl all of them shldn't be influenced by others. if u'r keen to go, juz say so. it's oni yes or no. dun alwaz cant make a decision juz bcoz u wanna go along w/ de crowd. sometimes tis can really cause problems 4 organizers.

tt's y as i've mentioned earlier, dun tink they're de fun-loving type of pple whom u'll tink of going out w/ 4 fun.

Natas Fair is so fun!

Yupz, lyk i've mentioned earlier, we booked tix @ natas. i've actly enjoyed myself there. there's a booth set up 4 u to noe more abt taiwan, n i saw my jc fren there working part-time 4 them. there's even tis artist who can draw ur portrait on a chinese fan 4 free. i got him to draw 1 4 me, but doesn't really look lyk me. i look so much beta in person. then got free cereals, free coffee, n free jap ice-cream! haha, as could've imagined, i tried all these, except 4 coffee, i gave it to my fren's 2 female colleagues. i wanna try coffee, but dunno y de promoter gave me 2 cups. tt's y it's so inconvenient 4 me to drink de coffee, n i ended up gave it away. by de time i went back to get more coffee, de shop was closed. no coffee 4 me... (sob sob)

my fren very funny, keep giving me taiwanese biscuits n sovenieurs. i noe he's juz being friendly. but tink tt'll compile more stuff in my home when it's already so messy n i've no idea how to tidy up.

I'm going to TAIWAN!

Yupz, it's been decided tt my grad trip will be to TAIWAN!

other than my gals, i'll oso be bringing my mum along, since she's nvr been there b4. i've been feeling bad during exchange tt i've been enjoying myself so much n yet leaving her behind. besides, tis can serve as my mother's day gift 4 her.

so on fri, mar 23, 2007, rite aft sch, my gals suddenly said wanna go natas fair. so ok, we went. n surprisingly, there were juz so many pple over there rite aft work. we went from 1 booth to another, then they wanted to decide on which to choose immediately b4 de fair closes. 4 goodness sake! we do we haf to decide so suddenly? tot de purpose 4 us to come is to study usually where de tours bring pple n how they decide on de itinerary so tt we can beta plan 4 our free n easy? i seriously dun really lyk de idea of following tour guide coz it's too restrictive, n u've to wake up early n air tix is so ex as well as de hotel. besides, i see so much fun in planning ur trip coz we dun really haf a schedule to follow. i tink i muz've been spoilt by those free n easy tt i've been going thru' during exchange tt makes me tink it's really no big deal to do it again. tt's y i chose taiwan. coz it's de safest pl to plan ur own trip, with no communication breakdown, n convenient transports.

aniwae, i dun tink there's a need to be so rush on deciding on sth, so i suggested coming again next day. n i've been planning our own itinerary @ home n calculate de budget to show them tt planning is actly pretty easy, plus cost is so much lower. juz tt air tix alone, jet star now haf buy one get one free, so 2 tix cost 540 bucks! as compared to sq tix-949 plus airport tax of 113, tis is so much cheaper!

i suggested to my gals de next day abt going free n easy. but 1's mum dun allow free n easy, so gals wanna spend more $$ on sq to ensure own safety, some dun wanna go farm, so wanna slp n 4 to 5 stars hotel to enjoy. i mean, hello, we'r all so young! can't u gals be more adventurous? it's oni 4 hrs flight, definitely we'll be taking a nap on plane in order to enjoy later once we reach. y bother to haf food on flight, juz bring ur snacks. haf u seen a farm here in s'pore b4? i dun tink we gonna be coop up in our rms 4 de most of our time. it's oni a pl to slp n store ur luggage. so y bother to slp on ex hotels? i tink they'll faint if i told them i intend to stay in hostels since it's de cheapest. then some told me dun tink over cost will differ tt much if we go free n easy instead of tour when i've calculated de cost n we can save more than 400 bucks juz tt air tix alone! then some say impossible to bring luggage ard when u'r supposed to enjoy urselves @ each destination. who ask u to bring luggage. juz bring a bag. n it's oni 10 days. y bother to bring so much stuff? i really cant stand it. they really do look lyk 大小姐 to me. so pampered. muz live in comfort. even my mum is much more adventurous than any of them. looks lyk i've chosen de wrong grp to spend my grad trip w/.

i dun deny tt mebbe i'm de one w/ problem, since i've been in de minority when it comes to making decisions. mebbe i've been having so much fun w/ free n easy tt i'm resistent to tours. mebbe i'm so envious tt my frenz ard me r going free n easy tt i wanna try it myself too. mebbe i juz cant stand de sight of youngsters cant be indept. mebbe i alwaz enjoy freedom tt i dislyk de feeling of going along w/ de crowd n do wat is told. we're supposed to haf fun together. n yet i've made them so upset, made myself so hard to get along. but aniwae, i'm juz a bit disappointed tt my grad trip is not wat i've expected. but aft tis, somehow, i all de more than enthusiastic in planning another trip coz tis time i really wanna go free n easy. i'm tinking of going somewhere near n cheap coz really dun haf $$. mebbe to thailand or vietnam. so if anyone keen to join me lemme noe. no such thing as when to go, coz lyk i say, it's free n easy! but i'll be starting work in july 07, so either go in jun, otherwise haf to wait till next yr i guess.

aniwae, i dun tink i'll wanna go on trips w/ my gals again, coz apparently they'r not my type who lyks to haf fun @ minimal costs, n take so much fun into organizing.

Such an Awful Day!

I tripped n had a great fall 2dae!

Coz i was late 4 sch, so when de train reached boon lay, i dashed out n ran to catch de 179 bus. no one was queuing 4 de bus, so all de more i panicked, afraid tt de bus will go off w/o waiting 4 me, n oso dun wanna let de bus driver wait. i was running as if my life depended on it, then, when i finally reached, de tip of one of my shoes tripped onto de steps @ de doorway of de bus. n u could've imagined wat happened next. yup, i fell n was lyk a tortoise lying flat @ de steps!

Haiz, now got 3 orh-cays, so painful... n i've been limping my way... so ke lian...

i'm really beyond hope...

haiz, this happened 2 days ago, n tt time i really din haf any mood to blog abt tis. but i really wanna put tis up t remind myself not to repeat de same mistake.

on tue, aft 304, i tot, since there's still time, y not go n print notes? so i brought my thumb drive with me by putting it into my purse. as i've lost it once, i've been reminding myself not to 4get retrieving it aft de notes r printed. i did retrieve it, n i rmb putting it @ de side pocket of my bag coz de next lesson started. aft de class ended, b4 i left de classroom, i rmb checking de side pocket to ensure it's still inside, n wun drop tt easily.

aft tt, i went to fal to do grp discussion, n i left my bag unattended @ 1 side. from then on till de next day, i totally 4got abt chking my bag. by de time i realized it, i couldn't find my thumbdrive. y am i alwaz so blur? y do i alwaz lose my thumbdrive. there's quite impt files inside. there's my effort n lotsa things tt'll benefit me. i juz can't help but blame myself 4 being so careless. but how can i correct myself?

SAJC Gathering!

wow, finally held a gathering 4 s13ers...

it's been very hard to plan a gathering, since most of de time de pple will not be free on de days picked. but even 4 tis gathering, on de day itself there's still pple smsing me saying they can't come. utkarsh said his coach passed away de day b4 n he needed to be on his wake. song wei said u got menstruation pain, kang yang said he juz quarrelled with his mum, n now he's grounded. well, but luckily we still haf 6 pple going, yeah! but de funny thing is it's 3 gals rep ntu n 3 guys rep nus. a challenge b/w de sch or battle of de sexes?

we met @ city hall, then sashay our way to marina sq. choon how suggested jap food, so we went to genki sushi. aft we went there then i learnt tt both cindy n janice dun take raw food (wat a discovery aft being frenz 4 so many yrs!). everyone seems de same, not much changes. choon how still as hardworking, raymond still as smiley, gabriel still as a gab (haha), cindy still as gentle, n janice still as sociable.

dunno y whole time gabriel has been so caring so much abt my bf. fancy toking sth lyk u'll be getting a bf aft u enter into de workforce, then get happily married, then haf kids, blah blah blah. hopefully he's not recommending himself to me (hehe, no offence, gabriel). but i really wanna ask him abt traveling to taiwan since he's working in a traveling agency so tt i can plan 4 my grad trip. mebbe my khaki n i will be able to meet janice n her khaki (yeah!).

while we were having dinner, de guys alwaz haf so much ghost stories to share rgd ns, n janice seemed so facinated by it. hello, y ghost stories among all? dun u haf any idea tt i'm afraid of ghost stories?

coincidentally, there's fireworks ard marina sq. so aft dinner we went to an open field to watch fireworks (coz it's de last day of cny). then aft tt, we went to changing appetite to makan desserts. all of us were able to get wat we want, except 4 raymond, wateva he ordered were out of stock (poor thing). we wud haf understood beta wat to order if de waitress has mentioned tt all green tea related dessert were out of stock! so end up raymond was asking her y not she tell him wat's out of stock. haha, funny.

2dae auntie mooy invited us to her hse to celebrate new yr. they'll be having buffet n vegetarian 鱼生, n karaoke too! Yippee! long time din k liao...

when i went there, my cousin, baoyi said i've changed lotz. hmm in wat way? she said i looked different. hopefully it's tt i'm getting prettier n not older...

really enjoy lotz w/ her coz we've been playing lotz of stuff tt i've not touched since long long time ago. stuff lyk chinese chess n monopoly. who wud haf tot tt i'm still playing these @ my age. but i've really been enjoying these games since very very young (shall be careful from now on in order not to divulge my age).

i tink now i'm really getting voiceless. how how? hopefully i'll be fine n perfect 4 tmr jc gathering... hmm...

Back to Fencing! (poke poke)

yippee! finally back to meet these guys! when was de last time i saw them? shld be in late oct last yr, b4 all activities were closed 4 exams, if i'm not wrong. haiz, since then, i've been mia. not tt i want to, but haf been too tired to go down aft pa. n then i've to catch up w/ skool work aft i came back from pa. n this all dragged till now... (nightmare's not yet over)

2dae i went to help out in training hall 6 peepz. together with me were small jason, roshan, paul, nick n oyabu. they offered to pay us, but oyabu wanted mac meal instead, coz he said by rite we're not allowed to receive remuneration. n when we really had mac meal, oyabu was de 1st to complain tt he shldn't haf asked 4 it. he's been having it quite frequently, n de last time was ytd supper! poor thing. who ask u to be so crazy over mac.

actly i oso haf no idea how to teach these peepz, coz we're supposed to make it fun n interesting. besides, de duration is oni roughly ard 1 hr. we can't be giving them intensive training, coz it's not as if they really gonna fence. but i really dunno shld correct their mistakes n wrong postures or not if tt's de case.

thou time was short, but really happy to be able to meet them again. dun tink i'll be able to go down 4 training 4 de time being. really very sorry, guys.

2dae, 4 young guys claiming tt they're from SAF wanna noe my cousin's whereabouts coz he's escaped from NS (actly he's been living in m'sia but was born in s'pore, tt's y under s'pore law, he's considered as a s'porean n need to serve NS).

@ 1st it was my bro attending to them, then i wondered y it took him so long, so i went to take a look. then aft they introduced themselves, i tot it was safe to let them come in n take a look. 2 of them went in, de other 2 stayed outside.

aft they went away, my bro scolded me 4 being too gullible. by rite, they shld've a warrant letter b4 they're allowed to chk our hse, n he was just abt to make a call to de SAF to chk their identity when i interupted. i oso got a lecture from my mum 4 de same reason. wat if their intention is to chk on our hse so tt they noe de route beta? besides, they could've chk from de immigration side if my cousin has even come back to s'pore.

haiz, i really tot it's ok to trust them aft they showed me their cards. shld really be more careful in future.

finally able to meet my dearz rus! YEAH!

we've oredi agreed to go to de gym @ her condo to start our greatest plan, tt is, to burn away de unnecessary fats aft having gained it thru snacking thru'out cny. n i brought my mum along, coz she's realli been lazy to train her body. luckily my dear gal dun mind. thx dear, n sorry 4 de trouble.

it's realli been a long time since i last exercised. n dun tink my stamina is able to catch up. all i did was keep resting. tink i'm then de real lazy pig. but i possible i wud lyk to spend more time to tok to rus coz i seldom haf tis opportunity to tok together.

later my mum n i went to try suana, n it's our 1st time. wah, din noe it's really so hot inside, n we looked lyk roasted pigs! i was sitting higher up than my mum, n we've been arguing if u'll get to experience more heat by sitting higher up. i couldn't stand it aft staying in there 4 abt 15mins, so i went out. as 4 my mum, she's capable enuf to withstand till abt 30mins, n she explained it's bcoz she got more fats to burn (lame).

i realli enjoyed myself a lot, same 4 my mum. rus, hope u'll not 4get our 2nd date - tennis! rmb to jio more peepz!

i surfed 4 his profile aft watching de show, n i realised he possesses those qualities tt i've alwaz been finding in a guy, he's 182cm tall, b: 40, w: 31, h: 38, d.o.b: 10th oct 1980 (a librian, n five yrs older than me, n b'dae close to mine), lyks to play basketball, noe how to cook, career-minded, family is 1 of de ten richest chinese in brunei, possessing PRINCE charisma, n most imptly, i tink he's quite a pure guy (he oni had a relationship, n tt lasted 4 2 yrs).

hmm, despite possessing these attractive factors tt almost electrocuted me, there's this 1 thing tt makes him not my perfect guy, n tt is, he's lyk me, blur. i really cant imagine 2 blurries together. besides, to me, oni a clear-minded guy will then be able to look aft me.

haha, looks lyk i've been day-dreaming a lot. afterall, there's no way we'll eva noe each other, let alone being frenz, or even develop a closer relationship. but i personally dun tink it's bad or wierd to portray some guys u see on tv or ard u as ur mr. right. if u see it from de other side of de coin, this is called "std-setting", so tt u'll noe how ur partner or partner-to-be fare from ur ideal mr. right.

CNY Day 2...

hmm... wat shall i say, 2dae is juz another peaceful day (great!)

despite having slept on sofa thru'out de nite (beta not ask me y i slept on sofa) which caused my back to ache, i managed to enjoy a long, peaceful slp b4 waking up n waiting to go to my paternal aunt's pl. mum woke up too, n we decided to haf some light breakfast @ de hawker centre b4 going there (actly @ tt pt of time we had no idea if there's even any shop opened 4 biz since it's supposed to be cny day 2, but we still tried our luck). luckily i went 2 de hawker centre, coz we met my mum's fren n she's generous enuf to give me 6 bucks ang bao (Yeah!). well, u really can't blame me 4 being so pragmatic as i'm really broke! besides, this yr's ang bao seemed to haf shrunk, thou de no. of married couples supposedly haf increased, n i'm still puzzled over it.

it's loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong queue @ all de stalls! apparently many pple held de same mentality as us, tt we muz fill our tummies b4 拜年 action. mum n i had wanton noodles, n it's super duper salty! (fancy still haf de cheek to collect 50 cents more 4 each plate). but no choice, filly tummy is more impt i guess...

i've really been trying to be a goody gal, i promised, tt i volunteered to do de hanging of clothes. aft tt, we dressed up nice nice, n 4 me, putting mild make-up, b4 setting off. coz of mum's foot (according to her, it's swelling larger than ytd), we took a cab all de way to yishun, n tt cost us a bomb (alrite, i've exagerated tt part). once we reached, as usual, greeting my relatives as well as those i'm not really sure who they r n how r they related to me, n aft tt, sat down n watch tv, but nthng got into my head coz it's all oldie cantonese songs. @ abt 4 plus, we finally manage to release ourselves n got back home by bus.

alrite, dun assume tt i muz haf collected a lot of ang bao from tt trip. as i've mentioned earlier, my ang bao haf been shrinking, n tt's true. but oh well, afterall, DE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THIS TRIP IS TO PUT VISITING RELATIVES AS A PRIMARY CONCERN rite? (fingers crossed)

oh, n another thing. i almost 4got to say my resolutions 4 de yr:

1. score very very VERY EXCELLENT grades
2. kick off my poor habits, such as being blur, slow, messy, doesnt noe how to prioritise, too playful, too hot-tempered, n such a spendthrift
3. slim down
4. be an attractive woman who possesses great wisdom n ability to handle social toks
5. n... able to grab a GREAT BOYFRIEND!

Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!

i find this yr's new yr exceptionally quiet n peaceful, n i lyk it. my dad din come back 4 reunion lunch as well as dinner, which is wat i've been praying hard 4. i nvr wanna eat w/ him, coz it's awkward when we seldom c each other.

thou tt day was was bz day, i kinda lyk de peacefulness. later, my bro n i decided to stay up late @ nite as long as possible, coz according to chinese custom, in this way our parents will be able to live longer (n we're doing this 4 our mum, of cuz). we managed to stay up till 4am b4 we went to slp.

Unfortunately i'm not able to catch any slp coz i felt ticklish over my whole body while slping. i barely caught 2 hrs' of slp. tt's torturous!

When we finally managed to reach m'sia w/ mum's limping leg, it's so crowded w/ long queues everywhere in de custom. we were forced to stand 4 one n a half hr b4 we met up w/ my uncles to drive us back to their home.

n again, it's another quiet day as my eldest uncle n his family din come 2dae. i was so shag tt i went slping in de end. as 4 my cousins, they were bz playing mahjong most of de time, thou they still maintain de tradition of playing 21.

2 of my uncles were kind enuf to drive us back to our home, so tt we were able to rest early. overall, i quite satisfied w/ this new yr 4 its serenity. hopefully every yr is this peaceful.

i went for 205 class, finding myself w/ alex n bhavani. meaning de 2 persons, michelle n weixiong, de 2 who've been doing de readings, were absent. my goodness, i din do my reading, n alex nvr did. so meaning, left bhavani.

hey, dun tink of me as a lazy bum k? not tt i dun wan, but they're doing on a case, n i dun haf it. i came early to zap a copy, but ended up futile coz library doesn't haf it too.

it's obvious tt bhavani was de oni 1 who did de reading, yet she hardly contribute. my grp suay suay got picked by another grp to present our ans when we hardly squeezed out anything. n when we presented, our prof asked us qns n we din noe how to ans, n tt b (i shall call her "b" from now on, coz i really dun wanna recall her name) still dared to look @ me as if she oso din noe de ans n was hoping tt de more brains de beta. my foot. i already made it clear tt since i dun haf de case, there's no way tt i could ans de qn. will she be any happier by making us fools in front of de class?

alrite, i noe i'm not qualified to criticize her, since i'm @ fault too 4 not being prepared beforehand. now i realize it's alwaz de best to be indept. n tt stupid alex, fancy being a leader yet alwaz not prepared 4 class. my goodness! i cant even imagine how we can crawl thru our proj!

I'm sorry, mum...

i've had an argument w/ mum on mon, feb 12, 2007.

i din intend to start de quarrel, i juz wanna let her noe how i feel n wat i'm thinking. tt dae her foot was bandaged, n my brother's not back from work, so she asked me to mopped de floor, n i agreed. she could see i was using lotsa effort to do it, so i tot of using tis as an opportunity to ask her if she does recognise de quality of work or de quantity, which is wat my brother has been doing, coz she's been comparing him w/ me. i'm nvr satisfied w/ his work, coz he's not been putting in effort. take spring cleaning 4 eg. he's supposed to be in chg of cleaning de windows. but he nvr change de water, n de windows' nvr considered clean.

so mum kept emphasizing tt it's an advantage 4 me 4 having de capability to produce quality work, n nvr ans my qn directly. i got so upset n i was asking her if she's been observing any changes in de hse n if she's been really putting in effort in keeping de hse clean, n as expected, she got mad @ me 4 critisizing her.

i noe she wud yell back @ me, coz of her conservative idea, tt no matter wat she does she's alwaz de mum, n nvr am i alloewed to criticize her. so while she's been nagging, i hid myself @ de storage rm so as not to let her disturbing my studying.

n 2dae, she voiced her feelings tt she's upset n feeling tt we're getting further n further apart, tt apparently we've nthng in common to communicate. y she's alwaz de oni 1 who can juz force others to emphatize her, understand her, n do wat she wanna c so as to make her happy, w/o having a position to be angry? n yet, 4 me, when i try to voice out my feelings to let her noe me beta, she'll start her defensive nature to shut me up, n if i can't take it anymore, yell back @ me.

i do admit tt there's really nthng in common tt we can tok abt. coz she's been telling me de trivial stuff tt i'm nvr interested in, n i cant tell her abt my sch work coz she can nvr help. i prefer to tok on smthng w/ more substance. n when i try to tell her abt my tots so tt we can understand each other beta, it's alwaz failed bcoz of her bad temper.

i really feel sorry 4 her, n tt's y my oni way not to make her angry is to keep quiet. but she's unhappy bcoz i'm not toking to her. arghhhhhhhhh........ wat can i do?!!!!!!!!!!!

Ytd, 2dae n tmr evenings i was supposed to be interacting w/ Huifang n her biz partners, but i ended up din go. I told a lie, saying tt it's bcoz i'm gonna be accompanying my mum to jb. I wud luv to interact w/ her biz partners to gain a beta understanding on how to set up a biz, how wud they noe which industry shld they be focusing on, etc etc. Y wud i suddenly haf de urge to noe all these? Haiz... this wud haf to be dated back to wed, sep 7, 2007...

I've oreadi agreed to meet Huifang tt evening to go 4 a tok... not exactly a tok to precise. it's a session 4 u to learn to tink lyk de rich. According to Huifang, there'll be different activities going on 4 each session, n it's on weds n sats, but not every wk, depending on demand. so tt day when i went there they were playing cash flow, created by de author of "rich dad, poor dad", robert. it's lyk monopoly, but de purpose is to develop rich men's mentality: to create enuf passive income to cover ur expenses, so tt u wun be working 4 money, but letting money to work 4 u. When i was there, i saw many pple ard, but apparently they all belong to de same organisation tt set up this session. so ended up there were oni 3 more newbies together w/ me, plus huifang n another 1 from tt organisation playing de game.

Frankly speaking, from tt day when huifang kept urging me to go 4 tt session, i oreadi not haf any gd impression of tt organisation. mebbe it's due to de way she approached me, too desperate tt made me haf a -ve feeling. i dun lyk to be pushed ard, de more u do u, de more i'll avoid u. this shows tt she has not be studying mktg... hmm...

Aft i went there, de low response all de more ascertained my impression of it. yet huifang kept emphasizing de high in demand n kept insisting tt i shld make advanced booking.

Aft de game, a gal from tt organisation (oso from crescent) chatted w/ me abt y she started biz w/ huifang n other partners. i do agree tt we shld let $$ work 4 us, juz tt i'm not sure if i shld start my own biz or make investments. So she n huifang ask me to interact more w/ their partners to noe more abt de biz they're in (which is traditional chinese medicine distributorship) n how they run their biz. Besides, they're oso searching 4 more partners in contribute capital.

I'm interested in how they enter into entrepreneurship, but not tcm!!! i told them i need time to consider, but they kept insisting wanting to set a time 4 me to come down n interact w/ them, or else there's really nthng i shld consider. i tink i can understand their eagerness aft having played de game, they're juz been eager to grab de opportunity, n they hope to influence others to tink n act lyk them. But their eagerness realli freak me out!

i realli thank huifang 4 lending me de book "rich dad, poor dad", but i really dun lyk it if she's using this as a plot to influence me to tink n act lyk them. Thanks to me strong character.

After looking @ my blog, i've realized tt i'm a really lazy gal, fancy continuing my blog after so many mths of mia... Well, in fact, tink i've mentioned b4 tt 1 of de reasons tt prompted me to start a blog is tt i wud lyk to record down wateva if done in san diego as well as whereas i've been in U.S. but seems lyk a failed attempt. well... i shall not deny tt i'm a really pig! haha...

Yupz, they were in my school last nite (fri, feb 2, 2007) to hold a mini school concert! both r so dashing, especially anthony (彦均), so playful, so sunshine guys, so talented, able to bring up de atmosphere. they're really my type, hehe (drooling...). thx to my fren shiying, tt me, lihui and huiying had de privilege to take a peepz @ de 2 hunks!

also coincidentally, i met my 猪朋狗友 janice n her bf, n somemore it's her bf who noticed me b4 her. so disappointed in her 4 being my fren 4 so long... (sob sob...). haha, but it's really coincidential. de 1st time i watched school concert of 范逸臣 n 同恩 it's oso with her. now tis is my 2nd time watching a concert...

anthony doesn't seem to lyk to tok a lot, n wheneva de mcee was asking them qns, it's alwaz angus (彦甫) answering de qns, while anthony kept looking @ my side as if he's searching 4 someone, then, suddenly, he smiled n waved to us! Argh!!! tt looked so idiotic but cute!!!

as 4 angus, tink he's really a more sociable n playful guy coz he's been de one doing de tok. hmm mebbe it's coz anthony got sorethroat, so can't tok much. but i find angus a bit 色. he went to hug an ah-tiong, held a gal's waist as he led her to de stage, n hugged her again after giving her a rose! alrite, mebbe he's juz been passionate n sociable. i've to admit tt i'm indeed conservative.

though it's my 2nd time watching a concert, i still can't help but haf to admit tt mebbe life's dull in hall, tt's y many ah-tiongs go watch concert, n they're alwaz very onz. but i'm realli very impressed tt 2moro's fanz flew all de way here to follow their idol. dun tink i'll even care to spend $$ juz to follow my idol...

after de concert, me, shiying, huiying n lihui went to maken @ kfc @ jp. it's been a long time since i last had kfc n since we've had a great chat. really thx galz 4 brightening up my nitez!
